Capital Projects Grant Program
Overview
This special grants program is being offered to nonprofits supporting Daviess County. Grants are made possible by Community Good Unrestricted Funds and Field of Interest Funds which support a wide variety of needs in Daviess County.

Program Summary
Grant Cycle
The Daviess County Community Foundation’s Capital Projects Grant cycle will run from March through June this year. Funding requests will be accepted from March 10, 2022 through the April 14, 2022 application deadline. Requests submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
Grant Program Orientation Meeting
Prospective grant applicants are invited to schedule a meeting with Foundation staff to receive an overview of the funding opportunity and to ask specific questions.

Funding
The total amount available to grant during this cycle is $50,000. It is anticipated that multiple grants will be awarded from this total amount.
Eligible Organizations and Activities
Applicant organizations must be a 501(c)(3) public charity located in Daviess County. Projects eligible for funding include the purchase and installation of equipment and/or the acquisition, construction, or renovation of permanent facilities used in the provision of services.
Ineligible Activities
Capital Project grants shall not support or benefit the following activities or organizations:
- Proposals of endowment creation or debt reduction.
- Religious organizations for religious purposes.
- Political parties or campaigns.
- Annual appeals or membership contributions.
- Operating costs, such as staff salaries or benefits, rent/lease payments, utilities, general office supplies, etc.
- Program costs, such as program materials and supplies.
Deliberation
The grants committee will make its recommendations on funding to the board of directors of the Community Foundation Alliance. No lobbying or soliciting of grants committee members or board members will be permitted.
Award Announcement
All organizations that have submitted grant applications will be notified of the outcome of the grants committee’s deliberation in writing no later than June 30.
Reporting Procedures
A final report at project completion may be required by organizations whose applications are approved for funding. Instructions will be provided at the time the grant is awarded.
